TikTok Shares ‘Free to Be You #ForYourPride’ Pride Month Plans (AdWeek)
TikTok is celebrating Pride month with several different initiatives, including its second annual LGBTQ+ TikTok Trailblazers. The platform is featuring rising creators from the LGBTQIA+ community, in addition to donating to charitable organizations like GLAAD, The Trevor Project, True Colors United, and more. Going beyond what they’ve done in the past, the platform will also be hosting its first ever TikTok Pride March, a global TikTok Live fundraising event on June 24, as well as its first Thrive with Pride Concert on June 10, a collaboration with LA Pride starring Charli XCX and other musicians from the LGBTQIA+ community. And of course, the app is also featuring special rainbow effects, filters, and creative tools for Pride, so that all TikTok users can celebrate with rainbow-filled feeds, and upgrade their tags from #ForYou to #ForYourPride.
