This week, the Julius team will attend Content Marketing World 2019 in Cleveland, Ohio. The annual conference is a place for marketing professionals to network, connect, and learn from one another about the latest developments in content marketing.

CMW is hosted from September 3-6 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland and features more than 120 sessions and workshops led by marketers and experts from all over the world. Topics covered include content marketing strategy, story development, return on investment, and of course, influencer marketing. Emmy-nominated writer, producer, New York Times best-selling author, director, and actor, Mindy Kaling, is this year’s closing headliner. Keynote speakers include actor, author, and singer Henry Rollins, and VP of Strategic Partnerships at Buzzfeed, Nilla Ali.

Some of the world’s biggest names and best known brands will be present, including Tyson, Discover, Nestle, and Microsoft. As for Julius, you’ll find us mingling with marketers, discussing the value of influencer marketing, and handing out some exclusive notebooks at booth 615.

You’ll also find our CEO, Steve Oriola, on stage in Room 4 at 2:00pm on Wednesday, September 4. He’ll be showing the marketers in attendance how ”Influencer Marketing Is Content Marketing for the Enterprise.”Joining him on stage will be Colleen O’Hara, Director of Digital at integrated communications agency Zeno Group, who will share how they leverage influencers to create content that tells powerful enterprise brand stories.

Storytelling at scale

Content marketing and influencer marketing share a lot of common ground: both revolve around content, the big differences being who produces it, in what format, and how it is distributed. With so many channels vying for an audience’s attention, it’s getting harder and harder for brands to cut through the noise to reach potential customers. Influencers, followed for their engaging content and trusted for their authenticity, are fast becoming one of the best options for content marketers to reach their audiences.

Our presentation will cover the basics of how a content marketer can leverage influencers for cross-channel content production, at every stage of the marketing funnel. We’ll compare influencer-generated content (IGC) to user-generated content (UGC), to show why content marketers should engage with influencers to incorporate them into their strategy.

Not only are influencers expert content creators, they know what makes their audience tick – and what language they respond to. In addition, they can help marketers experiment with new and different content formats to reach audiences in unique ways. Not to mention, influencer content can easily be repurposed and amplified to maximize its effectiveness and ROI for brands.

With influencers, content marketers can tell their brand’s unique, compelling stories from an intimate point of view, at scale. If you’re attending Content Marketing World, be sure to stop by our presentation to learn more about this thriving marketing tactic, or stop by booth 615 to discover how Julius can help you influence better today.
