Welcome to “Dear Julius”—a series dedicated to helping our readers navigate Julius and the influencer marketing industry. We love our customers, and we often get questions from them that are smart, interesting, and make us think. Because of this, we thought it would be a good idea to share our responses with the public to share knowledge. Have a burning question to ask? Email us and we’ll consider answering it on the blog.
Dear Julius,
It was great chatting with you last week. The whole team felt really positive coming out of our chat, especially for the <BRAND> team that has a campaign coming up next month.
I know you had mentioned that there was a way to pick up on almost real time conversations influencers are having on social media? Assuming this is for Instagram, right? And, I know you said it was kind of like social listening for influencers, but how far does it go back?
Let me know when you can, please!
Thank you!
- Amanda
Dear Amanda,
Yeah - great chatting with you too. Hopefully next time we’ll be able to have an in-person meeting! Crazy, right?! Ha!
The feature you’re referring to is what we call Content Search, and yes, it effectively works like social listening, but just for the influencers in Julius. You can find it built into your subscription by clicking on the Posts button in the top navigation bar.
I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Boolean search, but you can basically put in any keywords, phrases, or hashtags to search through hundreds of millions of posts from influencers. And yes - this includes posts on Instagram, as well as all major social channels including TikTok!
Per your note - to find the “real time” conversations you just need to enter your query, and sort by time so the most recent post comes up first. With that said, you can go as far back as we’ve added the influencer to the Julius platform. Once we add them to our inventory, we start archiving their posts.
Content Search can provide you with a LOT of other benefits and can be used in a variety of ways: from mining for influencer insights, channel planning or simply identifying potential partners and sifting through sponsored posts or types of content (i.e. just video). Let me know if you want another run through - I’m pretty much free next Tuesday afternoon.
Talk again soon!
