Now, the platform is testing a new way to improve music discovery with their songs actually being listed on select verified musician profiles, giving a whole new way for consumers to discover new music. As we all know, some of the biggest names in the music industry were discovered on social media, and TikTok is setting itself up to become the premier discovery channel for new tunes.

There are many ways to determine popularity of an influencer -- follower count, engagement rate, blog visits, or even @ mentions on social. Another way to do it is by search volume.
