One could argue that Stories have been the biggest game changer to Instagram in recent years. As the platform continues to change and evolve the feature, Influencers are latching on to even the smallest changes looking to drive engagement, and reach, but most importantly community. Birthed out of Music.ly, TikTok has had music in its DNA since its inception and rise to popularity. Now, the platform is testing a new way to improve music discovery with their songs actually being listed on select verified musician profiles, giving a whole new way for consumers to discover new music. As we all know, some of the biggest names in the music industry were discovered on social media, and TikTok is setting itself up to become the premier discovery channel for new tunes.

There are many ways to determine popularity of an influencer -- follower count, engagement rate, blog visits, or even @ mentions on social. Another way to do it is by search volume. PostBeyond have put together a listing of the most Googled online identities in 2019, and the results are diverse to say the least, ranging from Marie Kondo to Minimalist Baker.
